Gary Hauck was an Army medic in Vietnam.  He was on a medivac helicopter that just picked up some wounded Marines.  During lift off one of the Marines was hit by enemy fire and fell out of the helicopter.  Gary jumped out of the helicopter to help the man forcing the helicopter to land and pick the both up.  Gary received the Bronze Star for this act of bravery.
