Graduate of Milwaukee Country Day School, and Marquette University School of Medicine. Residency at University of Michigan. Served as U.S. Navy Medical Officer during the Korean War. Began his medical career after the Korean War, joining his father, Dr. Harry R. Foerster, Sr. and Dr. Donald Ruch in the practice of dermatology in Milwaukee. Long affiliation with Columbia Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. Practiced dermatology for 50 years. Retired in Tucson, AZ, and Presque Isle, WI. Avid outdoorsman, enjoyed numerous wilderness canoe trips until age 90. Accomplished painter, wooden boat enthusiast, sailor.
