Raymond (Ray) Kenneth Haase was born August 15, 1921 in Racine, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the service in October 1942 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Serving as military police, he was assigned to Wrangell and Anchorage, Alaska. He spent most of the war years in Alaska. He met his wife, Dorothy Lee, while serving in Wrangell and the were married on August 5, 1944. They had three daughters and five grandchildren, also nine great-grandchildren before he died.
