Mr. Jurgella was born May 5, 1920 in Stevens Point, WI and joined the 32nd Red Arrow Division of the National Guard in 1938 and, along with the rest of the division was called to active duty on October 15, 1940. Following his discharge in 1945, he worked as an electrician for more than 30 years. He and his wife, Evie also owned and operated the Wildwood Gardens Tavern and Dance Hall for 43 years, living in the town of Stockton area.
