Wesley served in World War I Romagne (Meuse) France. Not sure if he was wounded or killed outright. The Germans used gas and shelling and were entrenched in concrete pill boxes. The 104th Infantry, 26th Division joined the French XVIII Corps and did a full frontal assault.
