After Vietnam service he was stationed at the War College, Washington, D. C.  He took part in President Kennedy’s funeral in 1963.

Mr. Vinall was born April 20, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa and passed away on June 27, 2024; interred at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cometary near Spooner, Wisconsin.  He and his wife Edlynn (Lynn) had two children, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was a graduate of the University of Iowa with majors in Pre-Columbian Archaeology, Field Geology, and Education.  He loved and respected all things in nature. Spending his later years in the Presque Isle, Wisconsin, he enjoyed the waterways, wildlife and outdoor sports especially canoeing and cross country skiing.  He also enjoyed history, baking, and woodworking.  Most especially he loved his family.
